Program Manager
About the Role
Vaimo is looking for a Program Manager to lead complex digital transformation programs for enterprise clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, can manage multiple stakeholders and vendors, and knows how to bring structure, clarity, and delivery confidence to large-scale platform initiatives.
The initial focus will be a high-profile digital transformation program involving a major website and platform re-architecture, with multiple workstreams, external partners, and senior executive visibility. Over time, the role may also support other strategic client programs across Vaimo’s portfolio.
This is not a role for someone who only coordinates status updates. We are looking for someone who can actively drive delivery, manage dependencies, challenge unrealistic timelines, and create confidence across both client and internal teams.
What You Will Own
Program Delivery
Own and maintain the master program plan across multiple workstreams, epics, milestones, and delivery gates
Drive delivery cadence across daily, weekly, and executive-level forums
Coordinate work across engineering, UX, content, data, QA, architecture, and external vendor teams
Manage interdependencies across platform, integration, front-end, testing, and launch activities
Ensure workstream leads are aligned to commitments, timelines, and decision points
Risk and Issue Management
Maintain an active, working risk and issue register that supports decision-making, not just reporting
Identify blockers early and escalate before they affect critical milestones
Highlight resource gaps, sequencing issues, ownership ambiguity, and delivery risks
Bring structure and urgency to problem-solving across multiple teams and partners
Governance and Reporting
Run governance rhythms including workstream forums, steering committees, and executive reporting
Prepare clear, concise reporting packs that translate technical risks into business impact
Keep roadmaps, decision logs, actions, and ownership records current and trusted
Ensure governance frameworks such as RACI/RASCI, stage gates, and sign-offs remain live and actionable
Stakeholder and Vendor Management
Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, delivery leads, and Vaimo teams
Act as a central point of coordination across client teams, implementation partners, and specialist vendors
Align technical and non-technical stakeholders around delivery priorities and decision-making
Communicate clearly and directly, especially when timelines, scope, or dependencies are at risk
Financial and Resource Oversight
Monitor program budgets, commercial milestones, and scope changes
Flag delivery or resourcing risks that could impact cost, timelines, or quality
Support internal and client-side capacity planning across critical roles and phases
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
8+ years of program management experience, including leadership of large digital transformation programs
Proven delivery of complex, multi-workstream initiatives involving several stakeholder groups and external vendors
Strong experience in digital platform transformation, such as website re-platforming, composable architecture, headless CMS, PIM, search/discovery, or systems integration
Track record of managing high-visibility programs with fixed milestones and limited room for slippage
Experience working with enterprise clients in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
Core Capabilities
Excellent dependency management and planning discipline
Strong risk management and escalation judgment
Confident facilitation of steering committees and executive forums
Experience with governance models such as RACI/RASCI, decision logs, and milestone-based delivery
Comfortable working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Craft.io, Smartsheet, or similar
Communication and Leadership
Able to translate technical complexity into clear business language
Comfortable giving clear recommendations and escalating concerns early
Strong relationship-builder with both technical teams and senior stakeholders
Calm, credible, and highly organised under pressure
Preferred
Experience in commerce, digital experience, or enterprise transformation environments
Familiarity with platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Magento, inRiver, Coveo, Contentful, Optimizely, or similar ecosystems
Experience managing global or multi-market rollouts
PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent certification
