Senior Project Manager

As a Project Manager at Vaimo, you will have a central role in our pursuit to drive success in digital commerce. You will have broad responsibility that requires strong leadership skills, structure, creativity, and the ability to identify the most efficient solutions for our clients.
As Project Manager you are the main point of contact for the client and play an instrumental role in achieving high client satisfaction. The project manager is also an influential member of the delivery team, and instrumental in creating a highly engaged delivery team.
Responsibilities of the Role
Lead and manage projects successfully
Understand the contracts, goals and constraints before starting a project
Establish clear ways of working
Steer projects proactively by doing regular forecasting on budget, milestones etc
Manage projects responsibly by identifying and mitigating risks
Sufficient understanding of project requirements & solution
Monitor and control project progress, outcome and quality
Proactively manage changes in scope
Keep project plans and documentation up to date
Comply to Vaimo’s delivery methodology, processes and templates
Accountable for managing project scope, budget, timeline and quality
Project health
Regularly monitor the health of the Project and the satisfaction levels of the assigned client(s)
Perform regular estimate-to-completions (ETC) and budget forecasts
Escalate through appropriate channels if you see project health or client satisfaction is at risk of dropping
Complete regular resource forecasting to ensure that your projects are equipped with the right team members to deliver as planned.
Flagging and internally aligning (approval) expected write-offs as soon as they are forecasted
Team management
Enable the team to deliver successfully
Team routines and agreed ways of working are followed
Clear team communication (goals, success criteria, priorities, changes etc)
Hold team members accountable for executing their part of the delivery
Where required, lead and facilitate the onboarding of new team members
Identify and mitigate gaps or challenges in the delivery team
Communication & reporting
Communicate Project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on status meetings, steering committee meetings, reports etc (according to contract and agreed ways of working)
Make sure all client communication and reporting is correct, on time and of high quality
Ensure that an effective governance structure is in place
Ensure meeting attendance, timely decision making and engagement from all critical stakeholders (internal and external)
Communicate and document progress, decisions, changes etc to manage expectations of project teams and stakeholders
Clear and timely reporting of project health, status reports, invoicing reports etc.
Seek and share knowledge across the organisation

Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in a digital agency, consultancy, or client-services environment, delivering software and digital projects for external clients
Strong track record of successfully delivering projects, maintaining high client satisfaction, and managing end-to-end project delivery
Experience working with enterprise clients and leading challenging client-facing conversations
Solid understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, and tools, with the ability to apply them effectively in complex environments
Experience delivering software development projects and leading distributed, cross-functional teams
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships across multiple internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
Commercially minded, goal-oriented, and proactive in driving project outcomes and business value
Strong advocate of using digital tools and data to track project progress, risks, health, and compliance
Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) and/or Agile methodologies (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent) is highly desirable
Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is considered an advantage
Demonstrated team leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced client environment.
